The standard base for map elements is a hexagon measuring 2.76 x 3.15 inches (70 x 80 mm).

Available paper formats:

• Letter size (11 x 8.5 inches, common in North America)

Recommended paper:

150–200 g/m² matte paper. Thicker paper improves durability.

• A ruler and a tool for scoring folds
• Glue or glue stick
